You are most likely experiencing what is known as "Vapers Tongue". This is a common occurrence to newbies and seasoned vaper's alike.
There's a few different reasons this will happen... and we'll get you through it.
Have you been vaping on the same flavor for over a week? This is the most likely reason you can't taste your e juice. The best way to explain what is happening here is to compare it to wearing the same perfume or cologne... You can't smell your own cologne after wearing it for a while. The same thing happens with your taste buds after vaping on the same flavor. Try switching up flavors at least once a week.
Did you just quit smoking cigarettes? People who just switched from smoking cigarettes to using personal vaporizors (e-cigarettes) are prime candidates for vaper's tongue. You may not be aware but, smoking ruins your sense of taste. Once you stop smoking cigarettes, your taste buds must become reacquainted with normal taste sensations.
The ability to taste things slowly awakens after a lengthy slumber. These new sensations can overload your sense of taste and strange things start happening. Eventually, all the stimulation becomes a little too much and your brain elects to close up shop for a little while to let your taste regroup.
As you adjust to life as a non-smoker this shut down effect is likely to happen several times. These shutdowns usually last anywhere from a few hours to a couple days. Gradually, your taste buds start firing up again and you'll just realize at some point the flavor has returned all on its own.
Are you dehydrated? This can also cause a sense of taste loss. It is important to drink plenty of fluids while vaping.
Do you have a cold? When people are sick not only are they unable to taste foods, they are unable to taste their vapors as well.
If none of these fits your problem, you may want to try non flavored vapors until you start tasting a "Peppery" taste.
